Children

practicing the way of Jesus, from the earliest days

Restoration Anglican’s Children’s Ministry exists to provide a space for children to grow in the Christian faith and be nurtured and nourished by God’s Word. We seek to cultivate an environment for spiritual formation that is both safe and fun, and ushers little hearts to worship Christ in the beauty of his holiness.

Using “God’s Big Story” Bible Curriculum, we are committed to walk our children through the whole narrative of Scripture, intentionally tracing the goodness of God’s loving plan for redemption in both the Old and New Testament. Our desire is paint a picture of our God who is Father, Son, and Holy Spirit, to lead children to taste and see his goodness, and to model the invitation to know him and therefore glorify him and enjoy him forever.

Additionally, we hope to slowly and age-appropriately introduce children to the concept of the sacraments as gifts we embrace, as well as recognition of the liturgy and church calendar as pieces of the fullness of our faith.

As a growing church plant, these are our current programs for Children’s Ministry:

“Littles” Nursery

Littles offers childcare for children ages 12 months through 3K. Check-in for Littles upon arrival and drop off to the nursery space at the start of service. Children are able to remain in Littles through the entirety of the service. Littles time consists of free play, prayer, songs, a Bible lesson, snack, and craft or coloring activity.

“Bigs” Ministry

Bigs is for children who are currently in preschool through second grade. Upon arrival, children in this age group will check in, but will proceed to the service with their parents. Bigs will participate in the worship service through the Scripture readings, after which they will be dismissed to go upstairs with their leader and helper. During Bigs time there will be prayer, a Bible lesson, snack, time for discussion, and a coloring page or application activity. Children in Bigs will return to the service with their leader after the sermon and during the Peace, and will be re-seated with their parents.

Safety Procedures

To ensure safety and the best care, each of our children’s ministry staff and volunteers are required to complete background checks and child protective/abuse prevention training. Please check in children who will participate in Littles or Bigs when you arrive. Any questions or concerns you have may be directed to our staff or leaders.
